Get NATA Certified with the Least Amount of Studying

The National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA) is an association that provides professional membership for certified athletic trainers. The Board of Certification, Inc. (BOC) is incorporated by NATA to provide a certification program for beginning Athletic Trainers.

The National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification (NATA BOC) Examination allows official recognition of individuals who meet the standards for the practice of athletic training set by BOC. The BOC is the only recognized certifying organization for Athletic Trainers in the USA

 

Exam Registration

•  You must go to https://i7lp.integral7.com/durango/do/login?ownername=boc&channel=boc&basechannel=integral7

•  Register as a first time exam applicant and obtain a UserID and password.

•  Log in to BOC Central™ and register for the NATA BOC examination.

•  You must also make your payment and select your examination site, date and time.

Exam Details

•  The examination is conducted 5 times a year at various locations throughout the USA

•  It comprises of 3 sections:

•  A written section of multiple choice questions

•  Generally content-driven and hence, you may have to read and memorize a substantial amount of information.

•  A written simulation assessment

•  Includes circumstances related to athletic training, designed to mirror real-life decision making procedures

•  A practical section

•  Assessing skills required for athletic training

Exam Contents

•   Prevention – 15.72%

•   Clinical Evaluation and Diagnosis – 22.91%

•  Immediate Care – 17.50%

•   Treatment, Rehabilitation and Reconditioning – 23.31%

•   Organization and Administration – 11.29%

•   Professional Responsibility – 9.27%

Exam Eligibility

You are eligible to apply even if you have not graduated from the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE) Accredited Program as long as you are enrolled in your final semester.

Your examination application must be endorsed by the recognized Program Director (PD) of the CAATE Accredited Program that you have graduated from or will be graduating from.

You must have evidence of current certification in Emergency Cardiac Care (ECC).
